Ekrem Parmaksiz is a underwater photographer and photojournalist specializing in marine wildlife and underwater environments. Since 2007 he has been a contract photographer on a wide range of subjects and stories. He has been taking photographs since he was 12 years old and has worked as a part time underwater photographer since then.
Ekrem’s work has also been featured in publications such as Sports Illustrated, sportdiver, BBC Wildlife, Esquire and Men’s Health. He is the author of articles including famous magazines and newspapers.
He loves exploring the underwater world, spends a lot of time and energy creating images..
With a background in information architecture and design, he spends most of my time taking photos or working on initiatives that support that end. Primary objectives are centred around underwater exploration projects..
Since April 2016, He has been using a Sony A7II camera in a Nauticam Housing with Sony-Zeiss 16-35 mm lens with a N120 dome. To bring back warm colors underwater by using 2 Inon Z330 strobes on TTL mode, with s-TTL from trt-electronics.
